DJ Albrecht was inspired, as a youth, by science fiction authors such as Jules Verne, Arthur C Clarke, and Ray Bradbury. He worked in the aerospace industry for twenty-three years and for Colorado State University, supporting computers and technology.
When he is not writing, he enjoys reading to his granddaughter and travelling with his family. He currently resides in Colorado with his wife, Bette.
